Could be due to lack of interest in their lineup, un-attainability due to price or location or both or whatever reason it doesn’t come to the top of your mind, or you’ve never even visited their website. For me it’s Fiat. I have visited Maserati and Alfa many times but never cared for Fiat because its lineup does nothing for me. Mitsubishi is another one.
The first time I ever went to Fiat’s site ever, just to get this image

erm. most of them.
I’ma c ar guy, but I dont waste my time on websites for shit I wont buy. nor time to shit I dont need/cant afford.

I think about Fiat a lot, but only for professional reasons. I never think about current Mitsubishi for any reason, although occasionally older Pajeros come to mind.

I never think much about Mitsubishi, but if I had to buy or recommend a new car, it would be on my list. That’s funny when I think about it.
I don’t think about Fiat either, except for the 124. That’s the saving grace for that maker in my eyes, and it’s not really a Fiat.
I’ll tell you who I’d like to stop thinking about if everyone would let me. Toyota. Also Nissan.

Mitsubishi is one that I actively try NOT to think about. Partially the disappointment that they don’t make cool cars anymore, and partially the disgust that they make decidedly UNcool cars now.
Nissan is like Mitsubishi but with more money to support a grand & bland lineup of crossovers while leaving its 10-20 year old sportscars for sale.
I’ll be honest, modern Audi & Mercedes don’t do much for me anymore either. I visited Buick’s website more recently than I looked at Audi or Benz.
![]() 03/08/2019 at 15:39 |

Does Buick still exist?

Outside of websites, when you’re discussing cars in general on the internet or when someone asks you, what never comes to mind?
Example: If someone asks you for recommendation on a sporty premium/luxury coupe you think of just the Germans and Lexus, and you may not remember an Infiniti exists in this space.

I went recently to the Nissan website after I drove the Maxima to check some prices and the configurator. Before that, It was years since I visited their site.

Panhard and Willys-Overland. OK, that’s a lie.

Maserati, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Mini, RAM, Chrysler, smart.
![]() 03/08/2019 at 15:44 |

Yes. I’ll be honest when the TourX came out I went there many times to play around with the configurator.
Lincoln was like this for me before but last couple of years with the Continental Navigator and Aviator being launched it is on the top of my mind even more than Cadillac when it comes to American Luxury.

I used to go to the BMW configurators on a weekly basis before but hardly nowadays, I made a post on configuring the new G20 3 series but haven’t been back since.
I do go to Audi’s site every now and then to configure S4/5/6 but Mercedes hardly ever.
![]() 03/08/2019 at 15:48 |

Cadillac and Lincoln. Ditto Dodge and Mitsubishi.

I love going to the Dodge website to see how much Muscle I can get for the money. Plus the Chargers and Challengers have so many options and packages to choose from. Jeep as well.

Nissan, Honda, Infiniti, Acura, Fiat, Mitsubishi and Dodge.

Maserati. There is a Maserati dealership in my city. Every time I drive by I say “oh yeah! That’s a thing.”
But I honestly hardly ever visit a brand’s website, because I will probably never own a new car.

Can I say Nissan, even though my wife drives an Altima? What happened to you Nissan? You used to be cool. There’s nothing on a Nissan lot that I would spend time to go look at, or even look up online for that matter.
![]() 03/08/2019 at 15:51 |

Nissan will surely pop up in most comments here.

Wait, Smart still exists in the US?

Nissan, Fiat, Mini, Mitsubishi, Chrysler for sure.

Porsche Configurators are fun, even though most people cant afford them new. So are Rolls Royce and Bentley.
![]() 03/08/2019 at 15:54 |

The mainstream brand that I simply have no interest in is Nissan. The last one I liked was the Cube and of course they had to kill that off. Everything they offer in the US is a collection of the gaudiest mismatc hed styling cliches and giant pizza-sized front emblems.
![]() 03/08/2019 at 15:55 |

Chrysler is literally 2 vehicles LOL. It’s been ages since I visited their site. Think I went back in 2015 when the “New” 300 was launched
![]() 03/08/2019 at 15:56 |

That said, they call out 2018 models on the landing page.
![]() 03/08/2019 at 15:56 |

Maserati, Fiat, Chrysler, Mitsubishi now too. And I forget that Mercedes makes cars because they’ve never appealed to me since their QA got fucked up after the merge.
I mean there are lots of non-US manufacturer s that don’t get air time in my head , like Suzuki (for cars), Tata , Perodua, SEAT
Can’t go 6 minutes without some guy bringing up a VW otherwise I’d never think about them.
![]() 03/08/2019 at 15:56 |

That shit just depresses me. I've been driving for about 17 years, and the most money I ever spent on a car was my Fiat (a brand that I naturally think about more than you) for $7,500

It’s easier for me to go the other way so I actually look at Toyota (Daily drivers like Camry, Avalon, Corolla and RAV4 or Highlander used to look at 4Runners every couple days but test drove one and the engine is a huge disappointment so they are off my list for now ) , Lexus (all of them) , Ford (Mustang and Trucks) , Genesis (G70) , Honda (Civic and Accord) , Hyundai (N-Line) and rearly Dodge just to look at Challengers.

Ditto. Everyday Driver discussed
a question recently:
“What do you like about Nissan, currently?”
My answer: Their history...
![]() 03/08/2019 at 16:02 |

I have a soft spo t for Genesis so I go to their site quite often. And the G70 configurator in particular is fantastic.
![]() 03/08/2019 at 16:02 |

I forget that Mitsubishi even sells cars in the US.
![]() 03/08/2019 at 16:02 |

GMC is probably the most forgettable for me, they make absolutely nothing that I'd ever be remotely interested in.
![]() 03/08/2019 at 16:03 |

Maserati is one I haven’t done a build and price on in ages. I see them around in my city too, but still never think about the brand too much. Fiat is another one too.
Is Lotus a bad answer? I think about them but never enough to look about anything online. They make some good cars, but if I had that money I guarantee I would buy something else.
![]() 03/08/2019 at 16:03 |

GMC doesn’t make a single vehicle I would personally buy but I like to go to their configurator to build out the most expensive D enali Silverados and Canyons

You can buy a 2019 Eclipse ... cross today!
![]() 03/08/2019 at 16:05 |

That can be fun, but I prefer to do that on Ford or Chevy's sites, to see how expensive you can make a "low price" truck. GMC at least presents themselves as sort of upscale.

I also dont have those convos because I’ve learned not to be the ‘branded’ car guy at the office :)

Mitsubishi, Maserati, Alfa, Fiat, Chrysler, Infiniti, and an honorable mention to Nissan for being absolute garbage.
Bonus mention for Hyundai for having no reason to exist between Kia and Genesis.
![]() 03/08/2019 at 16:17 |

Lotus IMO comes up only when one’s discussing the Porsche Cayman or Alfa Romeo 4C and wants something different.

I probably gone to the Hyundai website to check out the Elantra GT hatch, Kona and Veloster N more than the Infiniti site in recent years.

Never been to it.
The GT hatch is okay. However, the Veloster is an abomination that should’ve never been allowed to exist.

Think it’s time to call Nissan the winner in this round.
![]() 03/08/2019 at 16:55 |

Mercedes, Audi, Jaguar, and to some degree BMW. To the exception of Jaguar, t hey’re all so... milquetoast. I sometimes think of Volkswagen, but only to go “man I wish those weren’t terrible because they seem like they’d be neat.”
![]() 03/08/2019 at 17:17 |

I have an inherent distrust of any FCA products, so I never even consider them, to be honest. :(
![]() 03/09/2019 at 00:51 |

GM. The entire line. I simply don’t give a rat’s ass about any of the brands. I can honestly say to the best of my recollection I’ve never considered buying any GM vehicle.
Ford at least has the Mustang and (eventually, maybe) the Bronco. I was a Honda del Sol owner for 14 years, and Toyota Corolla FX for 2. I’d love a Miata or Fiata, and the Juke is quirky enough to give me hope that I’ll buy a Nissan someday.
But GM never crosses my radar, except to curse them for that idiotic reverse light behavior when parked .

Same, I’d love a G70. I just hope they hold up and eventually depreciate into my price range. I’ll never be able to buy a new one or maybe new anything.

GM (all of it) , Mitsubishi, Nissan, all Korean brands, the US brands of FCA, Opel and probably many more I've forgotten about.
